Nationally Acclaimed Pianist, Alexander Sandor Local Performers: Carlton Miller & Seth Olson

"Alexander Sandor is a freelance pianist and teacher in northern Wisconsin.  He is an adjunct piano instructor at the University of Wisconsin Superior campus.  He has been a soloist at ragtime festivals throughout the country, and is the president of the Lake Superior Ragtime Society, Inc.  His piano students have won classical and ragtime competitions in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

In 2016 with the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra and Maestro Warren Friesen, Sandor performed the United States premier of the long-neglected Concerto for Piano and Winds by Belgian composer Leo Smit.  That same year he co-founded the Islay Trio, which performs an eclectic  mix of music, including original compositions.   He is an accomplished composer, arranger, teacher and performer.

While a college student he performed Beethoven's Emperor Concerto with the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra on a day's notice when the scheduled soloist was incapacitated.  He is the organist at United Presbyterian Church.  He lives in Superior with his wife Katie and children Natalie and Oliver.  A ponderously slow jogger, he is nonetheless a member of the Half-fanatics running club, and he loves studying German and Italian!"

Carlton Miller and Seth Olson are local  talented Ragtime pianists, you will be delighted and amazed by the skills of these young men as they entertain you with a variety of familiar melodies.

The theme for this event is a barrel house bar, complete with period appropriate dressed bartenders and barmaids.  We will offer craft beers (or root beer)  from Round Man Brewing Co. of Spooner, WI and peanuts in the shell to munch on during the performance.

We want to thank Keyboard Crafts of Shell Lake, WI for providing the piano for this event!

Advance sale ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for students ( 17 and under).  Reduced pricing options available for groups of 10 or more booked together ~ just send us a message for more information.
