TITW performed their first play in November 1990. "Fools" took the stage at the Palace Theater under the direction of Carolyn Burnett, with a cast and crew of passionate local talent, determined to start a community theater in our area. Through the years many more talented people joined that group. TITW produced many many plays, always featuring local directors, casts and crews. A very generous offer from Pete and Karen Quam gave us the Erika Quam Memorial Theater in Shell Lake. TITW has been successful at bringing live theater to our area communities.
After 29 years the TITW Board members find themselves at a decision making point. Volunteers are ready and willing to help with various items, but none have expressed an interest in becoming board members or officers. All of the officer positions will become vacant within the coming year. A Managing Director has been working to keep the schedule full, however without officers it is impossible to continue.
After a lengthy discussion during the May meeting, the board devised a plan to address this dilemma. As part of this plan, they are reaching out to the people of this area to serve as new board members and officers. Board experience is welcome, though not necessary or required as training will be provided.
OR possibly another passionate group of people would like to take over the space and form their own Arts Organization. If you are interested and want to become involved in the leadership of TITW, or have ideas and suggestions please contact Board President Laurie Bakkum: email@example.com
